COMMUNITY

We at ERA Montgomery Real Estate are excited that you have decided on Carlsbad as your destination or are considering us as your destination. We would like to tell you a little about our community.

Carlsbad is a wonderful place to live because of our mild temperatures and many varied activities. On average, the sun shines in Carlsbad 350 days a year with an average of 15 inches of rain per year. The average maximum temperature in January is 57 degrees, April is 80 degrees and July is 96 degrees. With the weather dominated by warm, sunny days, residents are able to enjoy the abundance of recreational activities almost year round.

For the outdoor enthusiast, the mountains and beautiful desert surrounding the area offer numerous opportunities for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. If you enjoy golf, Carlsbad has two challenging and scenic golf courses that welcome the public. There are many organized sports leagues available for everyone.

The Pecos River snakes its way through this warm, desert town, its deep blue waters providing beauty, serenity, livelihoods and entertainment for many in our town. Starting in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, the Pecos River travels 900 miles into Texas where it joins the Rio Grande. Along its journey, the river creates an awesome presence in Carlsbad and Surrounding areas.

Another world awaits you deep below the surface at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Created over time this subterranean marvel amazes visitors year-round with its beautiful formations and challenging off- trail tours. The Carlsbad Caverns is listed as one of the twenty world heritage sites in the United States and thought by many to be the 8th wonder of the world. The surrounding area also includes Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Living Desert State Park, Brantley Lake State Park, Lincoln National Forest and Sitting Bull Falls.

We look forward to making your transition to Carlsbad, New Mexico a smooth and pleasant one.
